Following are some of the OSHA’s citations for the months of March and April 2013:
- US Department of Labor’s OSHA cited Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. in Canton, Ga., for repeat and serious violations following a worker fatality
- A New Jersey laundry company was fined by OSHA for $219,000 for safety hazards
- Ball Aerosol and Specialty Container Inc. was fined $589,000 by the U.S. Labor Department’s OSHA for exposing workers to amputation hazards machinery that was unguarded
- Woodridge Enterprises Inc., in Illinois, was cited by the Department of Labor’s OSHA for a lack of fall protection
- Discovering a lack of emergency plan at CVS Pharmacy’s Dutchess County, NY location, the OSHA proposed a $40,000 fine
- A Lakewood, NJ manufacturer was fined close to $185,000 by the US Labor Department’s OSHA for exposing workers to chemical and other hazards
- In Sea Isle City, NJ, the Labor Department’s OSHA fined a new home builder nearly $49,000 for fall hazards
- After a worker was injured by a fall, a Ridgefield, NJ roofing contractor was fined more than $57,000 by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
