Sheila E. O'Shea-Criscione has a proven track record of success as an employment attorney. An experienced litigator who has been practicing since 1993, she has handled cases of age discrimination, disability discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination, harassment and more.

She not only brings years of experience to the table, but is a skilled researcher and believes that careful listening to client needs has earned her a reputation as a patient and caring attorney. “In employment and discrimination law, truth is stranger than fiction,” Ms. O’Shea-Criscione says. “People come to us with egregious circumstances, and with team work we have developed a track record of great successes.” She has been associated with Bruce Atkins since 1993 and was an associate with Contant and Atkins before Mr. Atkins and Neil Deutsch formed Deutsch Atkins in 2006.

Ms. O’Shea-Criscione is an approved R.1:40 qualified mediator for the Statewide Mediation Program for Civil, General Equity and Probate Cases.

Since 1993, Ms. O’Shea-Criscione has been an adjunct professor at Montclair State University where she teaches undergraduate classes such as “Conflict and Its Resolution,” “Negotiation, Mediation, Arbitration;” “Legal Research,” and “Intro to Law and the Legal Procedure.” She has also taught graduate level classes on Mediation.

Ms. O’Shea-Criscione is a member of the bar in New Jersey and New York and appears in New Jersey Superior Court and Municipal Court in Bergen, Essex, Sussex, Morris and Passaic Counties. She is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Conflict Resolution section as well as the Bergen County Bar Association

She serves as a trustee on the Paramus Board of Education and is immediate past president. She is also a member of the Paramus Rotary Club.

O’Shea-Criscione grew up in Hillsdale, NJ and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts in 1988. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Pace University School of Law, White Plains, New York in 1992 and she served as Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Bruce A. Gaeta, J.S.C., 1992-1993.
