Joshua A. Ben-Asher is an associate with the NJ employment law firm, Deutsch Atkins, P.C. in Hackensack.  He earned his law degree from Rutgers-Newark School of Law in 2009 and graduated in 2006 from James Madison University.

Mr. Ben-Asher enjoys the practice of employment law because it so often involves helping people who have been wronged in the workplace. “We all spend most of our waking hours at work,” he says. “The workplace environment should be as comfortable as possible, and everybody should be judged and assessed on their ability to perform, produce, and work well with others—not on inappropriate and illegal factors such as race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion or disability.”

Prior to graduating from Rutgers, Mr. Ben-Asher served as an intern with the Office of the Governor of New Jersey, as well as with the Mercer County Counsel.  He also served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Mark Falk, U.S.M.J.

Mr. Ben-Asher worked as an Associate with Wolff, Helies, Duggan, Spaeth & Lucas prior to joining Deutsch Atkins.

He is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the District of Columbia. He is also a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Bergen County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
